Paid to lose weight?

Working in the Golden Triangle Area of KL, I have seen some weird flyers left on my car and the other cars parked in the open air car park behind my office. There are flyers about tution centres, warehouse sales, and even once there was one of a new “Spa”, which a picture of a lady in a bra massaging some body on it. From all the wierd flyers I have recieved, this one beats them all. Getting paid to lose weight? Gasp. How did they even know I was overweight? And check out the “Halal” sigh on the top right corner? What does that suppose to mean? That its a halal way of losing weight? Hmmm

Coming up with ideas for this Video Blogging Week 2006, is not easy man. Had an idea last night, but realized this morning it would not be as easy to record as I would like. I did manage to put together this clip with with recordings I did this morning, though most of my footage didn’t come out nicely. I bring to you…

A Day in The Life of….(Part 1)

I witnessed a crime

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

Came home from work last night and then decided to go to the SS2 Pasar Malam (Night market) for a snack and also to buy some video editing software. All was well, there was a huge crowd, larger than usual actually. I think it could have been due to the 2 bus loads of tourist I saw as I was driving home, actually coming down from a tour bus, mostly from mainland China I think. Anyhoo, as I was walking around the night market, I reached the part opposite Mayban and then I saw it. There was this Chinese man in his early 40’s I think, and he looked angry. He grabbed the stand used to hold up those huge umbrellas and started to bash up on of the stalls. This particular stall was selling that miricle liquid that repairs damaged CD’s, and show it had a VCD player and a small TV. Yes, the stall HAD those items, but in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, those things were no more. They were smashed by 2 shift hand movements, they came crashing down to the ground, and the glass screen of the 14 inch TV shattered as it hit the floor. He then started to scream and hit the table another 2 times, then walked away into the park in the center of SS2, still holding the stand. You could just see the crowd parting away for him, almost like Moses parting the red sea, but less dramatic. He dissapeared but the crowd that formed around the incident stayed around for a while longer. I was going to take out my camera and start snapping, but didn’t think it appropriate. Anyhoo, that was my exciting story for today.

A True Story….

Me : Dari Johor.
Man : Oh, Johor pun ada Nick ?
Me : Mana mana pun ada Nick kan?
Man : So you Nick apa? Nik Ahmad ke? Nik Aziz Ke?
Me : Sorry, Saya Nick Tay.
