American Breakfast

For breakfast, where to eat? This morning, Sara and I decided to try the American Breakfast in San Francisco Coffee here in KLCC. The food came very quickly, but it didn’t really taste all that. Its toast, 2 peices of chicken sausage, baked beans and scrambled eggs. Came with a free coffee / tea. Total RM12.95

Nasi Lemak

Omelette Set

Looking for somewhere to eat your breakfast in KLCC? Today Sara and I decided to eat at Hoca Specialty Coffee, just before you reach the LRT station entrance of KLCC. Its famous for its Kampung Nasi Lemak, which I must say is very good. I saw the staff preparing an Omelette and I couldn’t resist. The food was good, the nasi lemak better than the Omlette though. Not cheap however.

Kampung Nasi Lemak :- RM3.70
Omelette Set               :-RM9.90
Ice Tea                        :-RM5.10
Mocha Java Hot           :-RM2.00

Total after Tax :- RM21.74

Tatiana and Diago’s KL Visit

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Last Sunday, Sara’s friends Tatiana and Diago Columbia were visiting KL, as part of their 1 month back packing journey around South East Asia. We managed to meet up with them and bring them around a few places in the Klang Valley that they have never seen.

First off, we brought them for lunch at KTZ, in SS2 PJ where they tried Rice porridge, noodles, dumplings and a host of ice desserts. Then it was onwards for a foot massage just a few shops down the same row where we were pampered for 40 minutes. It was pampering for some of them, but for me it was an extremely painful memory.

After that, it was onwards to the Tugu Negara, or National Monument, which was erected to honour the fallen who gave their lives in Malaysia’s struggle during World War 2 and the 12 year Malaysian emergency period.

Then it was a trip up KL Tower, the tallest tower in Malaysia, where you can view KL City and the areas around it.

And then it was a visit to the Eye on Malaysia, this Merry-go-Round just behind our Opera House.

To end the evening, we had dinner at Jln Imbi, and tasted Durians at Jln Alor.

Overall, it was a great night of fun with my two friends, who I am sure, enjoyed themselves.

Time for KLCC to retire that Christmas tree

Friday, December 14th, 2007

KLCC uses this same tree every year for several years now. Its time to change man! I know it is cost effective but come on! Spend some money on decorations man! This place wants to market itself as a major shopping place, but then again, people will come to see the towers not the christmas deco.

The View from Sky Bar at Night

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

I have heard great things about the view from Sky Bar at the Traders Hotel, in KLCC. Dora and I had tried to go up, but where very tired of waiting, and so yesterday, I decided to share the view with my baby. The view was breath taking!
