Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome.

Yesterday I decided to go back to the Hotel while there was still a little sunshine left, Manage to get this pic of the pool. I took a short dip, but the pool is really small, and its only 1 Meter deep at its deepest point. So when you are 1.8 Meters tall, it doesn’t really seem like a lot of fun. Not to mention I can’t swim.
Turned on the TV and watched some shows, and to my Joy and my Delight, they were playing “Sleepless in Seattle” on HBO. Yeah!! I love that movie. “In the wea small hours of the morning, when the whole wide world is fast a sleep”. I am sucker for Romantic Comedies. Anyhoo.
I ordered something new. Mexican food!! Who would imagine having that in Vietnam? I ordered Beef Fajitas, Garlic Bread and the Soup of the Day, to the grand total of USD13.20 after 10% VAT. (Value Added Tax). It was good though, and I can’t complain. Hopefully my office wont either when I submit my claims
Today is my favorite Day in Hanoi. Why Monday? Because on Monday (and Tuesday), the girls have to wear thier Traditional Vietnamese Dress to work (The Au-Dai). And they really really look good. Especially Ho Hien, who I will try and get a picture of this trip. She refused to let me take a picture of her last time
Anyways, back to work.
fa·ji·ta (fÉ™-hç’tÉ™)

I made a deal with my PM. (Project Manager). I will be able to take my Christmas leave if I leave my HP on 24/7 and be near a phoneline at all times. So I guess thats better than nothing.
Yesterday I was prepared for yet another boring, deadening, drilling, dull, slow night. I came back to my hotel after a long day of trying to get network connections up. You will be amazed how much effort that can take. Half defeated I dragged by almost lifeless body up to the Six floor Restaurant where I had the worse fried rice in the world. There was literally oil oozing out of the rice. I am begining to think there is a reason why this place is so dead. But I have to eat here cos its the only place where I can charge my meal to the room. I am low on cash reserves and If I have to stay until the 12th, I will need some Dong for Cab rides. I also ordered a side dish of some stir-fried beef in garlic sause, and that too was drowned in oil.
So after my meal, I hauled myself back to Room 111, and got on-line to download my emails. I decided to watch some CNN, and when I turned on the TV, it was on a different channel. “Thats Strage?”, I said out loud to myself. (When you spend allot of time with yourself, you tend to have the ability to carry conversations all by yourself). “Maybe the cleaning lady wanted to watch some Vietnamese shows”. So I flipped the channels looking for CNN, and Lo and behold, to my Joy and my delight (I like that phrase allot), there was something that was not there before.
My eyes were wide open, my face gleaming with pleasure, my smile was at least a mile wide, (1828.8 meters for those who use the metric system). It was something I have been searching, wanting, hoping, praying for even. It was a sight for sore eyes, a view that can take your breath away,…it was…..”STAR MOVIES”.
I asked myself, “How long as this been going on?”.”Why Was I not aware of this?”. But it didn’t matter, the only thing that matter was watching the night away. The first show was sphere, then another show who’s name I didn’t catch, and then it was the hitchhiker. I went to sleep a happy camper and woke up to even more Star Movies.
