Among the attractions in Sentosa Island, one of my favorite would be the butterfly park. I am a sucker for Macro photography, and them butterflies provided me with at least a few hundred shots. Not all came out as nicely as I would have liked lah, after all, “I is amateur photographer, I is not professional”. I bring for your viewing pleasure, Project Butterfly.

Lets go to the Zoo! There’s lots of things to do! How true! I totally enjoyed the Singapore Zoo. I got there at 8:35, according to my admission ticket, and I managed to catch most of the feeding times. The first attraction of the day was the Elephants, as the handlers gave them baths as the eager crowd was given a chance to feed the ladies. Next was the seals and penguins, which I totally enjoyed. There is just something about penguins that makes me smile, the black and white tails they wear! Other interesting things about the Singapore Zoo is that they have the largest collections of Primates in any Zoo in the world. There were monkeys, Orang-hutans, Apes, Chimpanzees, Baboons, You name it, they got it. I’ll let you enjoy the pictures!

And there I was on the 3rd day in Singapore. Just decided to chill as it was New Years Eve, and I knew we were gonna have a long day ahead. I went to catch a movie @ Bugis Junction, just opposite my hotel, and after the movie, I saw this. Kids playing in this water fountain thing, thus I bring to you, Project Kids & Water.

And so I boarded my Bus from PJ and reached Singapore about 12:30, where to my surprise the Bus actually stopped right in front of Zouk. Haha! I grabbed a cab, and within minutes I arrived at the Backpackers CozyCorner Guesthouse. I was shown to my room which consisted of 6 bunk beds. Already staying there was 1 guy from hong Kong and 3 ladies from Indonesia, a Mom and her two teenage daughters. I had a quick shower and fell a sleep.

Woke up early the next morning, and had 1 mission on my mind. The Singapore Zoo! Took the MRT and then the Bus and before I knew it, I was there snapping away.

By about 3:30 I was done with the Zoo, and my next stop was Little India to take some pictures and have an indian lunch

From little India, I walked back to Bugis, and took a quick shower and nap, and then at 7:00, I met up with Eric Khoo and Daniel Bong for a quick dinner. Daniel left early, and Dora appeared after he had left. Then Eric, Dora and myself attacked Chinatown.

After Chinatown, we made a slow walk down to Clark Quay and in search of the Famous Merlion. Dora was convinced that the Merlion was somewhere else the last time she came and it had been moved. Then again she also insisted that one of the MRT stations was also somewhere else. Eric and I just laughed away, which caused many bruises on my hand as Dora attacked me for laughing at her. End of Day 1.

Day 2 started with me waking up early and calculating if I had enough energy to do Sentosa Island. I am not as young as I used to be, as the Zoo kinda knocked me out. But seeing that I was on holiday I went for it. Took the MRT and a Bus, and there I was, in Sentosa. Did a few things like visit the Historical Sites, and Took the Chair lift, the butterfly park. Even bought a pair of beach shorts and sand slippers to walk on the beach, but could not find a place to store by Camera. So, I didn’t dip into the sea. I was also quite upset that the Bikini Bar was not open! Sigh! Haha.

After Sentosa, went up to the Hill by Cable Car, and then back to the hotel to snooze. Then it was shopping on Orchard road and then dinner with Dora. End of Day 2.
