A simple mobile phone for RM99?

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Yes, sir. I bought this cheap little mobile phone for RM99 at KL Sentral yesterday as a backup phone for my other number. Its has a 1 year warranty, dual band, monotone ring tones and vibration alert. It only does normal calls and sms and comes with several simple features like multiple alarms, time zone setter, calculator, and Inbound call filter. The phone comes with a free hands free set. What brand is it? Its a China brand called TCL Mobile. Its cheap enough that I don’t really care if it doesn’t last 1 year, it has all the features you will need, no fancy bells and whistles that you don’t really use after all. A good buy I must say.

One Utama Christmas Decorations

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Sara and I have been to the following malls, KLCC, Pavillion, Megamall and One Utama, and we have decided that the Pavillion has the best decorations thus far. Megamall was cozy, but lacked the Wow Factor. One Utama has a toy theme ,which is understandable for its location but nothing really special. Pavillion however was classy and classic at the same time. What are your thoughts?

Pavillion KL :- SO NOT a Breakfast place!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

This morning Sara dropped me off at work and since we were early we decided to have breakfast at the Pavillion, which is afterall a Mall, which should have some breakfast stuff, like KLCC. We entered Parking A, and found a place to park near the entrance of Tangs. We left the parking part of the building, but the glass doors to enter the Pavillion was closed! Hmmm…Ok, we remembered that there was a Starbucks at the 6th floor, so we took the elavator to the 6th floor, and then realized that Starbucks was not open! Sigh. Then at the 6th floor, we had to walk all the way down to the ground floor where the restaurants were because all the escalators were still not on yet and all the elevators are outside. When we reached the ground floor, all the places where still closed. Only one shop at the Food Junction was opened selling Nasi Lemak at RM2.50!! Argh. We decided to have breakfast at my office, only to discover the exit closest to my office was still locked! We had to walk all the way to the Bukit Bintang entrance and then leave the Pavillion. In conclusion, Don’t bother having breakfast there! Sigh.

The Malls are definitely decked for the Season, and Pavillion is going with “White Christmas” as its theme. Sara and I had a quick lunch at Pastamania, then it was onwards to soak in the Christmas Atmosphere. Check it out

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

Seriously I am really not sure if I have bought the genuine stuff or not. But I could not think of things that my mummy and aunties might appreciate. I paid usd14 for 500g of dried scallop (big one) and usd43 for a box of bird nest. Can anyone tell me if I had overpaid ?
