Casablanca

Monday, September 26th, 2005

Play it again Sam! A dear friend of ours told us that if you really want some Malaysian food, go to Casablanca. Didn’t really make sense to me, but I was hungry and so was my team. In fact we were craving for good old fashion Curry, so it was obvious where we were gonna have our Sunday lunch.

It was actually a very nice restaurant, owned by a guy from Singapore. This however meant, that it cost us a bomb. Yes, it was the most expensive lunch I have had in a long long time. I was so hungry that I didn’t think of taking a picture of the food until my desert came! Sorry :P Oh well….

The taste? Oklah! But I can’t afford to eat here again…

Bangkok in Ulaanbaatar

Bangkok in Ulaanbaatar….

It was a cold windy evening, and we were a little homesick for some good old fashion tom yam soup. Our search for a cure brought us to Bangkok, a small Thai restaurant near the bank where we work. All in all, it was a disappointment. The food was way way to expensive, even our meal at the Mongolian BBQ was cheaper. Don’t think we will go back there anytime soon.

We do it on a grill

Friday, September 16th, 2005

No trip to Mongolia would be complete without experiencing one of best Food this nation has to offer, the famous Mongolian BBQ. And since it was Chu-Chu’s last day in UB, we decided to take him there. It was a cold day, and we walked and walked, not exactly sure where this so called restaurant was located. We asked like 3 different people, and finally we found it.
