Well, it is pretty tough for a man my age to be able to impress me. A genuine friend once told me that I am Mr. Perfect’s girl, a perfectionist. He always teased me to get a man who near retirement age to be my partner. Only mature man can take my characters, according to him. A year later after the above conversation, I met Nick, my high school classmate. Well, I am still me and my characters only getting worse. Nonetheless, this relationship blossoms beautifully since then. One thing about Nick, he has such a big heart. He embraces my ego and flaws. He never attempt to play God to mould me into his “ideal” girlfriend. Though I know he wishes his girl to be 20 something young chicks. You know, man find it easier to impress young girls than a 30 something cool blood corporate women. Sounds crude ya, I know.

While I stay in his sister’s house, he will wake up before me. Get my tooth brush n coffee ready before knocking on my room door to get me up. That’s romantic. He asked my mummy n daddy, one to one without me presence, if he can go out with me as in couple. That’s incredible romantic in my eyes. This man is different. He is not a coward in relationship.

Last night, my boyfriend told me he finds me “high maintenance”, emotionally. Well, this statement lingers in my mind this morning. I asked myself if I have inferiority complex that I needed the assurance of love consistently. It is not that I second judge his love. Then, I asked myself what cause my actions if I have no doubt of his love. I realized I love him more when he assures me explicitly that he does treasure me. I come to a conclusion that if men are visual stimulates creatures, then women are definitely “audio” driven souls.

I asked nick when can I open the Christmas present he bought for me. He said of course on Christmas day together with the rest of the family members. Upright, indeed. He said we will put all gifts under the Christmas tree and shall not open till Christmas day. Well, if that the way then I shall oblige. Then right, he asked me last night what I bought for him. I told him something very practical too and intimate. Then, I think his mind went wild and he back off and say they doesn’t want his gift under the tree now and doesn’t want to open the gift in front of the family members. He said he shy and do not how to explain to the kids what gift is that. Hahaha. Then I told him, it will be even harder to explain if he is the only one who doesn’t have a gift “under the tree”. Who is the one that so proud and snobbish and say gifts must all put under the tree and shall not open till Christmas day. Hahahaha. Serve him right. Then, Mr. Tay came out with another wild idea. He said he is forced to create a hoax then. He shall buy himself a fake gift, as if from Sara and to Nick, and that hoax will be put under the tree for him to open during Christmas day. The real gift from me he will hide !
