It’s been a while since Sara and I watched a DVD which we watched till the end on a lazy Sunday evening. So far all the DVD’s we got were rather crappy, and so this one is worth a mention. How was the movie? It was not slow, the action was enough to keep our eyes on the screen and not fall asleep. The plot? Well, not exactly something totally new, or a story which blew our mind away. There were no major twists or turns. The characters were not developed enough in the movie, so you didn’t really care when somebody died. They tried to put too much into the intro, hoping after they spoonfed you the background, you would care what happens to the characters, but didn’t work at all. Perhaps if they gave a little more on how Bruce Willis character lost his son, would I believe his pain. Or if they developed the story behind Dr. Lionel Canter, the inventor of the Surrogates, would I understand why he was filled with such anger and hurt. All in all, this wont win any awards for film of the year, or best actor or any awards at all, but it passed the time away.
