Top 2 Leasons Learned as a Groom

IMG_1897

For those of you guys getting married, here are some tips I have learned the hard way. The first and most important tip I have is, eat breakfast! The night before the wedding, I could not sleep. I was awake the whole night, excited, as I was getting married. At 5am, I was up, showered and at 6am, Mark and me were at McDonalds, and I bought breakfast. I took one small bite of my Hash Brown and threw the whole thing away, I just could not eat. I changed into my tux, had a drink of Red Bull and then I was off. The Red Bull gave me energy for a while, but around 11:30am, I was almost ready to crash. I could not take another picture and just had to sit down. So remember, eat something. Both Sara and I didn’t manage to taste the food at our own wedding lunch, and our first meal of the day was fried rice and an egg, we ate at our home at around 3pm.

Lesson no 2, no matter how excited and tired you are, take your time and take photos with all your family members right after the ceramony is over. We managed to take 2 family photos only. The one above and one with my Father-in-Law. After that we saw that nobody was headed to the restaurant for lunch and we got a little worried, so Sara dashed in to usher family and friends indoors, thinking we will take photos in the lunch hall. We were however so busy entertainting everybody that no pictures were taken, and needless to say many family members felts alittle hurt. So, remember, Take photos!!

I learned many leasons that day, those two were the most importants. I will try and share more and more as days go by.

On this day in History..
