London Calling :- Farewell dinner with friends
November 15th, 2008 by Nick Tay
My friends Bijal and Rupa wanted to bring Sara and I out for dinner at an Authentic Indian place, which she said was the best this Side of India. On the Jubilee line, near the Queensbury station, is this private club where we met and had dinner. I had heard that curry was hot here in England, and I wanted to taste it for myself, just to see how hot, hot was. It was good, not too had till you could no longer taste anything with your tongue, but hot enough it made you sweat
Good food, good fellowship with the two girls who I met while backpacking in Thailand all those years ago.

Back to international cooking again.
When I was in Birmingham we went to an Indian Restaurant.
It was very small, just a few tables. But we dared to sit down, because we were told they had the best food in the whole midlands.
The cook was old.
He came to see his guests to make sure he was not cooking too hot.
I’ve never enjoyed indian food better than there.
When we went to London afterwards we didn’t want to spoil the memory.
