We arrived late last night and by the time we got all settled in to the apartment it was close to 11:30pm UK time and 6:30am, KL time. I am usually already awake back at home and I could not really fall asleep. Sara woke up and called me, and we chatted for a while. And then I tried to fall asleep, but woke up 3 times throughout the night. By 6am London time, I had decided to shower and get ready to explore a little of the small town we stayed. Ryan woke up around 6:45 and by 7:15 am, we were out of the apartment.

We were given 150 pounds each to buy some British clothes and so we explored our small town of Croydon and looked for a mall. We found a street with tons of shops but it was still way to early, and so we ate breakfast first. At a small cafe near that street, I ordered the Big British Breakfast which included Ham, Bacon, Eggs, Baked Beans, Toast, Grilled Tomatoes and Black Pudding. Ryan ordered something similar except it didn’t have the black pudding.

We then proceeded to Marks and Spenser’s where we shopped. I bought a trench coat, 2 sweater vests, 1 full sweater, a skaft, and socks. Then we went to a grocery store and bought a few ingredients that I will use to cook dinner tonight. We reached home, got changed and by 11am we had reached out office in Southwark, London via the Train, which was quite fast and comfortable.

At the office, we were introduced to all the staff we had so far been interacting via telephone, skype or email and then we had a small meeting to brief us on the work we were about to do. It was then time for lunch at a local pub where we were treated to Thai food, and then back to work. A full day thus far.
