EURO2008 :- Victorious Spain
Much to the surprise of most people, Spain defeated favorites Germany by the one single goal early this morning. In all honesty nobody expected them to loose and I am sure there are many fans that are in mourning (Sorry Gallivanter). Not having won a major title in many a year, the spanyards looked promising early in the competition but nobody really expected the mighty Germans to loose to them. Alas, we have a winner.
After the performances Germany have put in (aside from Portugal), Spain thoroughly deserved it, they were the better team on the night.
There is always Worldcup 2010
Hey hey, I remembered that we supported Germany together way back in ’02 when they were outclassed by the Brazilians. I absolutely loathe the Italians for kicking them out in ’06, which I’ve carried till this day. In fact I told Fergs that I wouldn’t speak to him for a week if Italy beats Germany again, haha (he’s a boyhood Italian fan).
But I’m happy Spain won. In fact, I was rooting for them more in the finals – don’t burn me as a traitor pls! It was quite a fairytale journey for them, and besides I’ve become a huge Torres fan
