Philip Island - Mornington Peninsular - Bimbi National Park, Cape Otway, Victoria

We woke up early the next morning, thinking that we had spent alittle too much time on Philip island and quickly made our way out of there, heading instead to a town called Sorrento, on the Mornington Peninsular. There we paid some heavy coin to take a 1 hour ferry to cross over to a place called Queen’s Cliff.

It was a short but good ride across, giving us a break from driving, allowing us to just sit back and watch the world go by. We reached the QueensCliff and were told of an award winning pie shop, which we wasted no time looking for.

We each ordered different types of pies, and I must say, there were very very good! After a short break, we explored the beautiful town and then examined the map to see what there was to see in the area. There was a winery, and so, that was our next destination.

The two ladies did the wine tatsing, while I tried some of the great Olive Oils they had, dipped in bread I even ate an olive out of a tree, and it was bitter as hell! The wineyard had tonnes of art scultures around and we spend a good hour exploring it. Next on our stop was a garden maze and a lavender garden.

The garden was huge and amazing, with tones of flowers, trees, statues and even a lake. We spent some time there just exploring and soaking in the great weather. Before we knew it, it was getting dark and we stil had to journey to our next destination, Cape Otaway, which was still a fair bit away. We were staying at a camping ground and we drove through dark dirt roads to find it, which we finally did at 9pm. We placed our bags down, and started cooking our little food we had, when a huge group of Australians who were there having a family dinner, with tonnes of food, and inisited we join them. We were soo blessed by God! We feasted with them and ate soo much good food. End of Day 2.
