A moment on those lips, a lifetime on those hips

Or in my case, belly. I have been going to the gym regularly again. Every morning, I go and do at least an hour of cardio, and 3 times a week, I have a personal trainer who helps me with resistance training. I have had the trainer for 3 weeks now, and I must admit I am getting stronger in certain excersizes. I managed to do 150 crunches today, and when I started 3 weeks ago, I could barely do 40. I am a little disappointed though that my weight has not really dropped even though I am cutting down on the food I eat and I am definitely burning up more energy. On the plus side my pants are getting looser and though still prominent, I can feel my belly getting a little smaller. I eat way to much. I must admit that. I used to be supper thin way back in high-school and college, and my brother used to warn me that one day my metabolic rate would just slow done. Sadly the future doctor back then was right. Sigh. I did loose some weight after the accident, but with the recent traveling and my lack of self control, I gained most of it back. Sigh. Yo-Yo, thy name is Nick. Oh well, I am working at it once again. Lets see if there are any improvements.

Hi! I’m going through a fitness regime of my own too. Don’t cut down on your food. I think you spread your meals throughout the day, like 6 meals a day instead of the regular 3. Try to keep note of your calorie intake, and keep score. I read somewhere that eating fish and vegetables alone is enough for nutrition. I still cheat with a bit of rice though. Hahaha. Good luck!

i am awaiting the day when my metabolic rate slows down… oh wait… i think its starting to rear its ugly head already… the dreaded ‘uncle’ belly…

been there.. totally understand. But at least your pants are getting looser!
