I have waited with much anticipation for the Food Republic to open in Pavillion, KL. I work on a very expensive area of KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang, and the choices of food is rather sparse and expensive, if you don’t want to walk too far. I usually eat at the food court in my building, not good but convenient. Today was the first time I ate at Food Republic, and only having RM15 in my wallet, I had to make sure I was fed and still have spare change to pay for parking and toll charges on the way home, hehe. I looked through the different stalls, which seemed rather expensive and not having eaten duck in a while, I decided on Hong Kong Roast.

Not too bad actually. The taste of the Hoisin Sauce which the duck was marinated in was strong and flavorful. It didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, a decent price for Mall food.
