Saigon Secrets : The Shampoo and Facewash

Wikitravel mentioned this :-
Visiting hair salons is also a must do for tourists, as Vietnamese are famous for it. Hair wash, manicure and pedicure cost no more than US$10.
And with that piece of information, and after our long journey back from Vung Tau, Sara and I decided to get our hair washed. She had done it before here in Vietnam, but it was the first time for me! Now there are 2 types of places to get this done near our hotel. One is a professional hair saloon where you can see both shampoo girls in proper uniform and both men and women hair stylist. The other type is where there are only girls, and they are wearing rather revealing, short dresses. We went to the former, though Sara insists I try the latter as long as I don’t order anything thats “Not on the Menu”. Hehe.
We entered the saloon, and asked for a Wash and Blow, and they lead us to a row of reclining seats. They washed my hair, and then washed my face, really scrubbing away the dead cells. Its not really a facial, but it was very very nice. My face never looked so bright in my life! Even Sara commented I looked much fairer!
How much did it cost? VND80,000 per person, which is about 5 USD! Saigon is heaven for the Metrosexual male, and the everyday girl. I am going for a Manicure and Padicure next! Muahaha!!
