I was helping my cousin to search for the cheapest genuine Speedy Minilin within reach. For girls out there I think Minilin required no further explanation. So here is the outcome of my survey from Oceania to Indochina based on average exchange rate in Nov 07.

Melbourne: AUD940 = USD825
Singapore: SGD1050 = USD730
Kuala Lumpur: RM2600 = USD764
Ho Chi Minh: VND1, 304,000 = USD815

Thus, Singapore seems to be a better place to buy LV. Of course if you could afford, fly to Paris will be another story.
