Saigon Secrets : Vietnamese Teachers Day

 November 20th each year marks a special day for most of the Vietnamese population. On the streets in the early morning, you can see hundreds of students in uniforms carrying flowers to school. Yes, it is teachers day here, a day where they honor those who have imparted much knowledge, wisdom and love to them over the years. Its not just those who are students who celebrate it, but even those who have shed their uniforms years ago. One of the bank staff today took the day off to have lunch with one of his High School teachers. Many others have made dinner plans with teachers, which they tell me is a yearly tradition. How I wish
