JJCM :- Pastamania Pavilion, KL
Posted by Nick Tay
Working opposite the Pavilion has a few perks, one of which is that I get to go over easily to sample the few eating places for my JJCM (Jalan Jalan Cari Makan), episodes of my blog. I know allot of people are upset cos allot of the places I do eat, are not halal, but fear not cos today’s review is! I saw this restaurant a few times as I visited Pavilion to buy groceries and what not, and today I decided to give it a try. At first glance the menu looked alittle complicated, but after reading it a little better, I discovered ordering is a breeze. Like Subway sandwiches, you have to choose your type of Pasta, from the following choices :- spaghetti, fusilli, linguine, penne and farfalle. Don’t ask me which is which, me not expert. There were a few types of pasta flavors and not wanting to be boring, I tried Bacon Aglio which is Turkey Bacon, Chilli, Garlic & diced tomatoes in olive oil. Yummy! I was not disappointed. I paid a little more to get some garlic bread, a minestrone soup and a cup of coke. This place is Halal, no pork or lard.

My meal cost :-
Pasta (Bacon Agio Fusili) = RM 12.90
Combo A (Soup, Coke, Garlic Bread) = RM 7.50
This place doesn’t charge service tax, only 5% gov tax
Total = RM 21.42
How was it? Well, bear in mind its not a fast food place. Its meant to be quick casual dining. The food was very good, the portions could have been 10% bigger and the price was mid range. They had allot of choices, the staff was very friendly, and the place was clean. I will definitely go there again.
