My Favourite Mongolian Dish
July 3rd, 2007 by Nick Tay
Every summertime, you will see vendors almost everywhere selling this kebab like food. Its basicly Lamb marinated with some herbs and BBq-ed over a wood fire. While cooking the meat is often sprayed with water, to give it a juicy finish. One stick which as about 6 cubes of meat, and one cube of fat cost MNT2500, about USD 2.10. Quite cheap la. The last one I ate before today was last summer, the day my Indonesian partner left Mongolia. I have been craving for it ever since. Yum.
