I go to the gym every morning, as you may or may not know. Well, not every morning anymore. On a good week, its more like 5 days a week, on a bad one maybe 1. I do have more good days then bad ones, however back to the gym. Well, I am a morning gym person, arriving before the gym opens its doors, and usually one of the first few to get in the building. This morning was the same. In the gym, you use your membership card to enter, and you pass it to the towel counter, who will give you a temporary pass and two towels. He will keep your Card in a pigeon hole till you return the two towels, but this morning the Towel guy was no where to be seen. The other patrons started to go behind the counter, put their membership cards back there, take a temp card and two towels and start their workout. I did the same. All was well and dandy till it was time to go. I had showered and all, headed to the towel counter and passed my temporary card to the towel guy. Now its been the same towel guy for months now, so he knows me. He has seen me many a morning, and I would have thought he had read my name on the card by now. Apparently not. He saw the temporary card and looked in the pigeon hole to retrieve the corresponding Membership card, saw my name “Nick Tay”, printed on it and put it back. He then started looking for other membership cards trying to find my one. I , witnessing the whole process stopped him and said, “That One is Mine”, pointing at my card. And he goes, “No, this is not yours”. I give him the serious look and I say, “Yes its mine”. And he asks, almost in amazement ,”Your Nick Tay?”. And I replied, “Yes I am. Yes I am”, trying to imitate the guy from CSI Miami. Hehe.
