How to wear a Sari…

June 16th, 2007 by Nick Tay

I have known to have pretty good general knowledge on a whole array of subject matters. This probably stems from the fact I love to read encyclopedias and wikipedia is my favorite website. I have been asked many questions before, from what’s “Ethernet” to “What do they call the coconut thing they eat with Thosai?”. The former is a name for a Technology standard used in networking, now called IEEE 802.3 and the latter is called Chutney. You see I know somethings. But today, somebody asked me over MSN one of the hardest questions I have ever had to answer. “How do I wear a Sari”. Gasp. Before my sister got married and went to India for her honeymoon, I don’t think even she knew. Nevertheless, I en devoured to help this poor lass who has an Indian wedding to attend tomorrow. When in doubt, google. Lo and behold, I found this very entertaining video and very educational.

Wow…I forwarded the link to her. I am bookmarking this one. Mental note to myself, my future wife must wear a Sari at least once during the ceremony. I am sure my aunts have one of my mom’s old ones.
