I said Hi…
May 17th, 2007 by Nick Tay
I think my second “Hi”, was much better than my first one yesterday. In case you are wondering what I am talking about, read this. Anyhoo, I got to the gym, and sat down at the bench while waiting for the doors to open, and as she walked in the mall, I said hi. She said Hi and smiled as well, but thats where things ended. As for striking up a conversation? Maybe another time la. I can’t really think of anything to say other than “Hi”. I mean, what would you say to a stranger you see at the gym each day that doesn’t sound like a pick up line? Seriously, I am curious. Feedback please. Hehe.
Anyways, at the gym after I worked out, and as I was heading to the shower, when I opened my gym bag I realized I had forgotten to pack my work shoes. Yesterday, I forgot to pack a work shirt, and so I wore a T-shirt to the office, but I wore a sports jacket over it so nobody really noticed. Its kinda hard not to notice you are wearing sneakers with your office clothes. Sigh, I need Gingko! My memory is really getting from bad to worse. How lah?

You: Morning
Her: Morning
You: How are you today?
Her: Fine/Good
You: Wow, you come to the gym early
Her: Yes, I’d like to get and early start. What about you?
You: Me too. By the way, my name’s ……
Her: Mine’s ……
You: Well… I have to go (this is important!). Talk to you later?
Her: Sure. See ya.
Then you finish gym and you ask her out for breakfast. Else a drink will suffice
Dude, good luck. It should actually get easier as you age, not harder. Plus you’re just introducing yourself, not flirting or trying to pick up.
admin : 2 problems. 1, I have been seing her everyday for like 2 months now, and I just started to say “hi”, so I know she goes early to the gym, and she knows I do to. 2nd, I rush of to work right after I finish, and she goes for one of the classes I think. I have never really seen her as I leave the gym, but appreciate the food back

hehehehe
this is so darn interesting la…
i agree with admin, jst starting to say “hi” in the middle of 2 months or whatever is pretty weird lOl
but RamblingMind has a great script there too.
(but i don’t like the “I have to go” (this is important!) part though)
it shows that you’re not interesting and girls can see through that loh…
its cool, admin.
there’s so much more to communication than words anyway hey?
learn to read her, bro… then adapt the conversation to her body language…
OW!
God bless!
admin : Hahaha…okok. Noted

like…
“hi, I always see u here, are u a frequent?” I guess, start something short is better
leave some mysterious impression at least.
admin : no offense but thats kinda silly. Obviously she is frequent to the gym! I see her everyday for 2 months. Its like asking her, “Are you a member here?” Or saying “Come here often?”

oh well, just tell her your name and ask for hers. Obviously you interested in picking her up right?
admin : actually not really. I am just interested in NOT looking like a total moron.
