Absolute Thai :- My Absolute Last Choice
May 2nd, 2007 by Nick Tay
On a busy public holiday, Mark, Felicia and myself decided to try some thai food for dinner and since we were already at the curve, we tried Absolute Thai just to see how it was like. Bad Idea. Firstly the service there was terrible, it took the waiter forever to come and serve us our food. We ordered 3 dishes, and each dish came by itself, and it took 20 minutes between dishes. And if that was not bad enough, the dishes were soo tiny! Thank goodness we were not that hungry else we would have been supper upset. And finally, its not cheap! For our tiny dishes, and just water to drink it came to RM50. Sigh.

Thai dishes are always tiny, no matter where you go. Whether in Bangkok itself, or a fancy US$100 place in California.
A theory is that, Thais eat 5 times a day, so every portion is smaller.

Had it there once, while the service was not as horrendous as you have experienced, the food was just average, and sorta pricey too.

Not true! I have had good thai food with big portions both in Malaysia and Thailand at cheap prices! You just got to know where to go.
