Working tomorrow?
April 25th, 2007 by Nick Tay
Announcement from My companies HR on our Intranet :-
Please take note that there will be no Public Holiday on 26th April 2007(Thursday), which marks the installation of our new King. In addition, please note that as the Labour Day and Wesak Day both falls on the 1st May 2007 and the Company will observe 1st and 2nd May 2007 for both holidays. Please do not hesitate to contact HR for any further queries.
I am. I can’t believe its not a compulsory holiday for everybody! I mean, he is our King right? Alas, I will be one of the few Malaysians who will drive to work and slave away because my HR doesn’t grant any “Optional” Holidays to us. I think the Government should actually declare it an OFFICIAL holiday. This way it shows respect to the King, the way things are now, its very little influence if any. What do you think? Are you working tomorrow?

admin : To the King of course. He doesn’t do anything, he is a Figurehead king, but he still is our king leh.
