What did you have for lunch?
April 18th, 2007 by Nick Tay
Somewhere this week, I heard the words Ground Beef mummered, probably on a radio ad, but I am not sure exactly where or when. The words created a mental image which started the flow of saliva in my mouth. The image kept haunting me over and over again, till finally today I could take it no longer. I went to Isetan in Lot10, and searched for the product and bread in order to make my sandwich. What is Corned beef you may ask?

From Wikipedia :-
Corned beef is a cut of beef (usually brisket, but sometimes round) cured or pickled in a seasoned brine. The “corn” in “corned beef” refers to the “corns” or grains of coarse salt used to cure it. The Oxford English Dictionary dates the usage of “corn,” meaning “small hard particle, a grain, as of sand or salt,” to 888, and the term “corned beef” to 1621.[1] The term “corned beef” can denote different styles of brine-cured beef, depending on the region. Some, like American-style corned beef, are highly seasoned and often considered delicatessen fare. In Britain, corned beef is almost always found in trapezoid cans and imported from South America.
Another craving satisfied. So what did YOU have for lunch?
