Now running Wordpress 2.1
March 26th, 2007 by Nick Tay
I have feared upgrading for the longest time. I knew the version of Wordpress I was running was buggy, but the thought of loosingall my entries just because I screwed up a step or two was alittle to much to bear. And thus I waited and waited and waited, till I decided I could wait no more. So I took the steo of faith, downloaded the new patch, and followed the instructions as best as I could. At one point, I feared I had lost all hope, as I though my ftp was sucessful, but then I ran the upgrade script, it came back with an error saying some of the needed files were missing. I paniced, and it didn’t help that at that same exact moment, my internet connection went bad, and I could not access my ftp any more! I rebooted my pc, and then re-transfered the files, and ran the script again. And it worked! I patiently turned on each one of my plugins and then reactivated my theme with widgets, and then, beauty. It worked! Woohooo!! Wordpress is easy to install and upgrade
