Definately! Is America ever going to get out of this? Not without a shameful exit in the next 2 years. I predict that in the next Presidential run, the Democrats are going to take over the White House , won over the Iraq Invation Issue. The new president then will call for a Retreat, and it will be a Shameful defeat yet again for the USA. Can anything be done to change this? Nope. Why not? It was an Ilegal war to begin with. The UN never approved the Invassion, the US decided to do it by themselves, and look at the way things are now? Is Iraq actualy better off now? I know that Sadaam Hussien was in no way a saint, but do you really think the Iraqi people lives are any better? People are still dying, there is still voilence.
As much as I believe the Bush admnistration invaded Iraq on completely self-motivated and selfish terms, the fact of the matter is, we are there today. We invaded their country and we promised them and the world an established democracy. As much as the war is consting us, as many people that are giving up their lives for it, as a country, we have to stand by our word. Pulling out and making Iraq another Vietnam is not an option. We need to fisnish what we started and I hope that the Democrats have enough sense in them to realize that.
