Spending the new year in church…

January 1st, 2007 by Nick Tay

Yes, It has been a tradition of mine for many years, except for 2004 where I spent it alone in the Hospital and 2005 where I spent it with Dora in Singapore. This year, I felt there was a need to spend the begining of the year with the Lord God at watchnight service. Like every year, there were tons of testimonies given by the members of the church , all with thanksgiving and praise on how much the Lord has blessed them in the year 2006, and how much they are expecting from 2007! The stories made me laugh, cry and mostly thankful for how he has kept me safe and secure all through 2006. This year I feel will be my year! I am trusting in you Lord for a great 2007!

After service, it was a birthday celebration for Simon and Sunita, who both celebrated thier birthday on 31st December, and then off to mamak with my cell, and a few other cells. We were blessed to have Pastor Vincent join us, and we had a great time of sharing with him. What a way to start the year..
