Friday night celebrating Simon’s birthday
December 2nd, 2006 by Nick Tay
Last night was one of my Malaysian friends here in Mongolia’s birthday. Simon turned 25, and we celebrated the event by going out to strings. Actually, we would go every weekend even if it was not any special occasion, as its when we non-Mongolians get to hang out with each other and share what kind of week we had. I have quite an interesting array of friends I see each weekend. There are of course the Malaysian auditors, a crazy group of them. Then there are the Singaporean businessmen, running different businesses from export services to hotels. There are the Russian teachers, really cool people, tall and great looking. There are the Hong Kong restaurant owners, and of course a few Mongolian friends and co-workers of theirs. I asked my Russian friend Olishia how old she was, and she told me definitely older than me. I doubted that was true, as she looked very young, and we made a bet. She has to buy me and Ice Tea tonight
Yes, I’ll see them again tonight
