Watched it last night on DVD, one of the many DVD’s I bring with me on my travels to entertain myself those long cold winter nights. Firstly, I have to say though its a good show, the original Hong Kong version was much better. Perhaps because the characters were developed over 3 movies instead of being crammed into one. I felt the movie was rushed, and the characters needed more time to brew to be believable, especially that of Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio). I still enjoyed the movie. The drama was good, the acting Award worthy, the dialog intense. I give it 3/5.

It’s about time Scorsese wins an Oscar!
admin : I hope he does this time
Yeah, I think he’s definitely going to win Best Director for this (if not Best Picture, since it’s facing stiff competition from Dreamgirls, and to a lesser extent, Babel).
admin : Best Picture? nolah.
I did not know that there were 3 movies in the original Hong Kong version, I’ve only seen one (probably the last one), a good movie. I’ve yet to see this american version though, I’m not sure I will like it, I’m not a big fan of the leading actors.
admin : yeah, 3 parts
