Up where we belong….
November 13th, 2006 by Nick Tay
I didn’t realize how much I missed home, and church back home till I was actually back here. On Saturday, my friend Sue Kheng, who was gonna get baptized, was giving a testimony at church, and to give her Moral support, I sat in the front row with her. As the service started, and worship began, I was totally in awe in the Lords presence, and I was reminded how much I miss being home in my own church. I know that the Lords presence in worship is everywhere and anywhere, as its not confined to a particular building, but there is just something different about worshiping in your home church that makes it extra special, maybe just for me lah.
Anyhoo, I was glad to be home, even if only for the weekend. Yesterday after church, David and I went walking a little around the Taman where I live, together with Oscar, my sisters dog, who I think enjoyed the walk much more than we did. She was dragging me everywhere, and sniffing everything the could sniff.
My sister and my brother in law are back from her honeymoon in India, and I will see them later tonight. They should be bearing tons of Indian gifts from aunts and aunties back there, and I am sure they will have many a story and tons of pictures to show. That should be exciting. Haven’t really spent any time with them yet, so tonight will be a little family bonding time.
