The weekend was also spent watching tons of DVD’s. They are amazingly cheap here in China, the price? RMB 5 for 1 DVD, which is about RM2.50, but sadly there is no return policy and not all of them work. I bought 4 DVD’s and only 2 of them worked, still you can’t expect much for that much money right?

Anyways, High School Musical, for me was awesome. It was no Grease, Sound of Music or Moulin Rouge, but still in todays age of Cheesy Teen Flicks, this was a show that returned to a long lost genre and did so with class.

The characters were very pretty, very typical disney. The songs were nice, but forgetable. The dance scenes were nice, and the storyline was very predictable, but combine all of that, and you have a movie that for me was very entertaining. I will definately watch it again.
