The Tay Brothers Go Shopping….

Posted by User ImageNick Tay

It has been a long time since I spend anytime alone with my brother, and I was really looking forward to doing that. My aunts had a half day tour of KL City and thus we were only going to meet them later that day. I got up early and took the train down to see my brother who was staying at Melia Hotel, exactly opposite Berjaya Times Square.

I arrived and I think my brother was still sleeping, and when I got to his room he needed to change and stuff. He was having problems adjusting to the time difference and through the night had ordered room service twice. Hehe..Satey no less. He got dressed and I brought him for some indian breakfast. We took the mono-rail to brickfields where both of us had 2 Masala-Thosei’s each, and then onwards to Low Yat Plaza, the IT Capital of Malaysia.

We got there and started to look for stuff my brother could buy back home. I needed a simple phone and my brother bought me a nice one (Thanks Again Joey!!) We saw the different PDA and Smart Phones and he was very tempted to buy some of the stuff, but he needed to make sure that he couldn’t just get like a package back in Scottland and get the stuff for free as part of a contract, so all we did was take down prices and models and then we headed back to the aunts hotel.

As the aunts rested, my brother surfed the Web to see the prices back in Scottland, and then worked out he shouldn’t buy it here. That meant he could spend money on other things, he said, and had a devilish grin. We also had more stay in the hotel restaurant, which was the most expensive satey either of us ever had. Rm50 for 10 satay?? Wow!! Gasp!!

Me in Petaling Street

The aunts now ready, we headed down to Central Market by taxi, where we met up with my sister and my other 2 aunts. We went through the place, as my aunts had a great long list of things to shop for. They needed no help bargaining, infact, I think I should learn from them man! They were amazing!! Haha.

We visited my sisters Office in that area and then onwards to Petaling Street where again my aunts bought thier fill of things. I was so worried I would loose one or two aunts, but things went well. My aunts sure know how to wonder and they sure love to shop! Haha.

After Petaling street, my brother took the Indian aunts for dinner and I had to go back early and rest. I had to meet with the wedding planner for some last minute pow-wow. The house was filled with my sisters youth helping to make decorations to decorate the church and stuff. I wanted to sleep that night, but I couldn’t….

Next the Wedding Day…..

On this day in History..
