Its was Asia vs Africa today, in what I seriously think was Asia’s last hope this world cup to take home the Cup of Life. Korea playing without home ground advantage to spur them on, like the last time, which no doubt helped them reach the Semi-Finals. The game started rocky for me, and Korea really dissapointed my by conseeding the first goal to Mohamad Kader. After that, Korea seemed to have paniced to me. They were kicking anything they had to the goal, not even really playing with skill. Asian football seems very gloomy!!

Then came the second half, and Togo’s Jean-Paul Algo gets send off, giving Korea an advantage which leads to an equalizer. I was hoping for Korea to score on even ground, but I was glad that the equalized non-the-less, but a draw is not good enough!! Not in this group!! They had to win, could they do it? I watched with much anticipation.
Then came the 72-end minute and my man Jung Hwan Ahn scores giving them the 2-1 lead! Still not as convincing then again, as Bee, my friend in England and fellow football fanatic reminded me, a win is a win. And thus, the only hope for Asia did win, but I am not convinced they can reach the semi’s.
