Talk about damage control, or lack there of. Our beloved Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar, came out in strong defence of our PDRM and told foreigners to go back to their countries if they think the Malaysian police are “cruel†in his press conference. I wonder how the tourism board will play this one out in Visit Malaysia year 2006. Our new campaign will be “Malaysia, Love it or Leave it”. Or how bout “Malaysia, Truly Cruel”. Oh wait, I know, I know “Malaysia, At your own risk”. I can just see those tourist lining up to experience our warm Asian hospitality. At KLIA, we should have a special counter for foreigners to strip and do ear squats, but of course they will not be recorded, cos that’s a crime. Ah Malaysia, Bolehland at its best.
