An Evening at the Ballet..

This is the story as explained by the program, word for word, so don’t blame me for spelling and grammatical errors.

CHOIJID TARA

Choijid is 36 years old woman. She has become seriously sick. Suffering from a terrible pain, she is praying to god to help her in getting rid of her sufferings. Suddenly, she feels some improvement and more healthy. She so delighted that she dances until she feels bad again. She falls down and passes away. Meanwhile, an envoy of Hell Nomin Khaan dessed in black and god’s envoy in white are in a battle to take away the dead woman’s ghost.

At this moment god’s silhouette becomes transparent turning the dead woman’s ghost in to Choijid Tara. By god’s will, Choijid Tara is sent to the citadel of Hell Nomin Khaan in order she sees sufferings of those who made sins in their life. After this, she is sent to god’s kingdom.

God’s kingdom….Choijid Tara arrives when gods, goddesses are dancing pray dances. She witnesses the happy life here of those who were kind in their life and share their happiness in person.

The gods send her back to earth with a mission to explain to humanity the difference between sin and generosity

I must say, that this locally written ballet was amazing. The scenes of Heaven and Hell, where magnificently done, and the costumes where elaborate and beautiful. The Main Dancer Choijid Tara, was a beautiful, and was one of the most graceful dancers I have ever seen. She wore what looked like a Sari, without the cloth, and did amazing leaps and jumps. I tried to capture as much as I could with my non high tech camera, and these were all I could take. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the ballet.
