Get me to the church on time…

I’m getting married in the morning! Ding dong!

The bells are gonna chime. Pull out the stopper!

Let’s have a whopper! But get me to the church on time!

Well, not me, personally, but well over 2,000 Mongolian couples in the city of UB alone will be tying that knot today. Mostly not in churches though, but in a traditional Mongolian ceremony, but I am sure it will be beautiful. Apparently today is the most auspicious day to get married in the entire Mongolian calendar. As we were driven to work today, we saw allot of cars on the streets with balloons tied on the side windows, and small statues of a husband and wife attached as a hood ornament. I wish I knew somebody who was getting married, cos I would love to witness a Mongolian wedding. But alas, I will just have to be satisfied with seeing the wedding cars drive by.
