It’s such a small world after all….
June 23rd, 2005 by Nick Tay
When you least expect it, somewhere, somehow, someone you know, knows somebody else you know. We are all connected to each other in some weird way. Years ago I heard about this theory that everybody in the world knows everybody in the world by 6 degrees of seperation. I don’t know about the world persay, but in Malayisa, thats definately possible. Let me give you a few real life cases.
There I was today, at work in my own office, spending most of the day in meetings that I dread with my very fabric, and lunch time came. A few of us went to Hot Mamma lunch, and on the way there, as we were about to walk across the road, waiting for the lights to turn green, I took out my camera phone, wanting to take a picture of the traffic. I heard a voice looked up, and saw a cute chinese girl waving at me. It took me a second to place who she was, and it stucked me. It was Tammy Tee! A junior from my days at Sedaya college. She was working a road show at Lot10, and was on her way for lunch. We exchanged numbers and parted ways, to meet up for dinner this Tuesday (Plans to be confirmed). After lunch, decided to see her roadshow, lo and behold, met Tammy’s boss, my friend Yohan from church.
Thats just one story! I have many many more! I am willing to bet Ramli Burger that if allot of people read my blog, somebody out there would go, “You know Tammy Tee?”. It really is a small world eh?
