Chinese New Years Eve In KL
January 21st, 2004 by Nick Tay
This is the best time to be in the City. For one, the traffic is gone. Yes this morning, there was no, I repeat, no traffic jam coming into work. The roads were just flowing like a river. I got into the office and wouldn’t you know it, had an Live problem to fix. If you think its not a busy day think again. With 80% of the office on leave, the 20% of us left behind need to do allot of work. There are so few of us in here. I had a phone call to Bangladesh I had to make, and a problem I had to fix.
At lunch time, HH and Me went to Lot 10. She wanted to change a CD she bought at Tower Records, and I just wanted to leave the office for a while. On the way back we saw this.
Yes. Its called a Lion Dance. I forget the cultural significance of it, but you see them everywhere during Chinese New Year. I uploaded more pic of them here.
More later.
[2:39pm] My boss just said this “Those of you who are still at work today - you can go off at 3pm PROVIDED there are no urgent production problems to resolve.” Now I am preparing to go Home. Just have to finish the production Issues :).
[3:29pm] Thats it for me. I am outta here. Happy CNY Guys
