Its 4.05am and for some strange reason I am awake. Totally. My mind just came online and I can’t go back into sleep mode. Strange. I decided to blog.

Last night I had a very interesting conversation. It all started a week before Christmas. One of my aunts living in the States sent a Mass e-mail Christmas greeting to Family members and in that email I noticed that there were many names I did not recognized, but they belonged to the “Machado” family. “Machado” is my mothers maiden name. Intrigued, I decided to add thier names to my Yahoo messager/MSN. Nothing much really came from this until last night. When I received this message from cyberspace “hullo nick. idon’t know exactly who u are, but mum sez u must be related or sumthing. jus wondering if u’re a long lost cuzin or sumthin”. And after a long conversation I discovered with much joy the exsistance of a Second Cousin. I never had a second cousin, it was a new experince for me.(Technically, I always had one, just never knew I had one) What’s a second cousin you may ask? Well, my grandpa and her grandpa where brothers. Anyways, I had the pleasure of getting to know her, a 15 year old girl, living in Banglore India. She is thinking of studying psychology like on of my Aunts in India. She loves writing, and hopes to be published one day. Cool eh? I told her I would be honoured to read her book.

My mothers side of the family is Huge. She had like 14 brothers and sisters, and my grandfater had many sibligs as well. When I was young, One of the Machado’s I meet told me this. “When you are in Manglore (my mothers hometown), If you meet anybody named Machado, thier family for sure”. I am gonna search the internet to see if I can find my mothers family tree. Insprired by the Tigger movie no less

[5:32am] I have showered, done my quiet time, got dressed, and I am online again. There is just something special about starting the day with prayer. Its hard to explain, it just leaves you with this awesome feeling of God’s presence follwing you for the whole day. Like getting your batteries recharged. Thank you Lord for this beautiful day.

Anyways, more later after I come back from Church.
