Yesterday I was prepared for yet another boring, deadening, drilling, dull, slow night. I came back to my hotel after a long day of trying to get network connections up. You will be amazed how much effort that can take. Half defeated I dragged by almost lifeless body up to the Six floor Restaurant where I had the worse fried rice in the world. There was literally oil oozing out of the rice. I am begining to think there is a reason why this place is so dead. But I have to eat here cos its the only place where I can charge my meal to the room. I am low on cash reserves and If I have to stay until the 12th, I will need some Dong for Cab rides. I also ordered a side dish of some stir-fried beef in garlic sause, and that too was drowned in oil.

So after my meal, I hauled myself back to Room 111, and got on-line to download my emails. I decided to watch some CNN, and when I turned on the TV, it was on a different channel. “Thats Strage?”, I said out loud to myself. (When you spend allot of time with yourself, you tend to have the ability to carry conversations all by yourself). “Maybe the cleaning lady wanted to watch some Vietnamese shows”. So I flipped the channels looking for CNN, and Lo and behold, to my Joy and my delight (I like that phrase allot), there was something that was not there before.

My eyes were wide open, my face gleaming with pleasure, my smile was at least a mile wide, (1828.8 meters for those who use the metric system). It was something I have been searching, wanting, hoping, praying for even. It was a sight for sore eyes, a view that can take your breath away,…it was…..”STAR MOVIES”.

I asked myself, “How long as this been going on?”.”Why Was I not aware of this?”. But it didn’t matter, the only thing that matter was watching the night away. The first show was sphere, then another show who’s name I didn’t catch, and then it was the hitchhiker. I went to sleep a happy camper and woke up to even more Star Movies.
