Early at KLIA
November 13th, 2003 by Nick Tay
My flight is not for 2 hours so I decided to pay RM15, and surf for an hour. This morning I dropped my beloved babe2 (the name of my car) with Karen, and took the train to the airport. To my joy and my delight, i bumped into so many people I knew. Firstly, Bro Michael from church missions department and another 3 leaders were sending of a visiting speaker back to India, so we had breakfast together at McD’s. It was nice to just sit and chat over breakfast before a flight. I took a picture but will upload it later.
Next, we were going through Immigration, I met another old Acadia friend Stephanie Ng. Actually back then she was not Stephanie, and I didn’t even know her last name was Ng. She was always together with her boyfriend, and they were very nice to me the summer I first arrived. We were all in the same business class. I later found out that she and that guy broke up. Anyways, she is on the flight to Hong Kong where she does business.
Good News. They upgraded my plane from a Boeing 737-400 to a Boeing 777-200. A bigger Plane, in flight entertainment, oh joy! oh rapture!
Last night I went to prayer meeting, and it was good. I miss it. Spending time with my God in a group. There is just something special about worshiping in a group, the dynamics of it. We also had our weekly youth leaders meeting, and I took some more pictures. Will upload and place the link here later today.
After the prayer meeting, I hung out with a very close friend and her hubby. I was the MC at thier wedding earlier this year. I miss spending time with those guys. I don’t even remember when was the last time I saw them before this. Love you guys!! Miss you guys!! See you at the New Years Party!!
I will be staying at a different place in Hanoi this time. The Hanoi Horrison Hotel, its a 5 star place with a very nice view. I stayed there for a week my first trip to Hanoi. I am packing my Gym shoes this trip, so that I can beat the flab!! Yeah….I must! Too many people who are soo kind to keep reminding me that “You gained weight”.
What is it about people? They just love to tell you that! I had this friend, who had not seen me in 3 years, and I bumped into her when she was working at the Malaysian International Motor show as a, well as a model in a skimpy outfit. The first words to come out of her mouths were “Your so fat now”. I mean, no “Hey, have not seen you in years!”. Not “How are you?”. Why do we as humans feel the need to do that?
Let me first say, I want to loose weight for health reasons not so much for physicall apearences, I injured by back seriously in Jakarta and my doctor said that loosing some weight would easy the burden on my spine. And the fact that I sit down all day as a job, I do need to get some excersize. I wanna be able to play football with my kids when I have them. hehe
Last night I also chatted with a friend of mine who’s 21st birthday I am gonna miss. I am sorry I can be there!! But I will get you a gift from Hanoi kay! There are tones of birthdays this month. I personally have 8 friends. Some months just have more then others.
Anyways, I will end this entry now.
