Lingua Franca

October 28th, 2003 by Nick Tay

What a day, what a day! Had a good start though. I had a cab driver who could actually speak good English. And he was polite too. He asked me if I wanted to take a different route because there was a big jam, he smiled, he said Thank You. Gotta love that. Better then yesterdays cabbie who bad mouthed me as I left the Cab. I was so pissed that I looked at him and said “What Do you want!”. And gave him the “Jelingan maut” Or The Gaze for death. He drove a way quietly into the dark night. (Am I dramatic or what?)

More after Lunch.
