Broken Pipes

I park my car under the lrt tracks opposite my office, which is a popular parking area, which makes finding a good spot rather competitive. Today, somebody trying hard to park their car illegally in a alley, hit a water pipe and we have loads of water just flooding into the streets. sigh.

There is a beauty in the Brickfield part of KL, known to some as the little India of Malaysia. Sure its hectic, there are tons of buses that come and go, thanks to the addition of KL Sentral, the central transportation hub of the city, but if you take the time to stop and smell the roses (or Jasmine Flowers), you can see the beauty of the indian culture touching this place. There are the multiple Banana Leaf restaurants, shops selling spices, silverwear and garments from India, and of course the flower vendors.

In search for new dating places, Sara and I were excited when we first saw this place when driving around SS2. The same row as the AmBank, is the Cave, which calls itself a 24 hour Couple Restaurant. We decided to give it a try last night, and we were rather impressed. As soon as you enter the building, you can tell why its called the Cave. The whole place has been designed to look like a cave!! You walk up the rough stairs and then you are ushered into little caverns which are designed to seat 2 people each. You can sit 3, but that third person will definitely be a lamppost. There is tons of privacy and also power plugs for those who wish to bring along a laptop and surf the web as the place is fully wifi enabled.

Salted Baked FishSpicy VegePrawnsSquidVenueSara N Nick @ Cave

Saw the menu and decided to order some Chinese food (much to Sara’s disappointment). Apprently one does not order chinese food when on a date. Anyhoo, I did. I ordered Chinese Set B, which included A salted baked fish, fried prawns, a squid salad, some vege dish and rice for 2 people. I loved the food!! Especially the prawns which were awesome!! Sara said the food was quite good too! Yum yum.

This place also has western dishes and a huge variety of pastas.

Final thoughts, Ideal for couples on an intimate date, bad for families and groups.

Final bill :- Rm120.15 with drinks and Taxes (10 + 5)

Nick’s Rating :- 8 / 10.0
Sara’s Rating :- 7.5 /10.0

Yesterday when I was at McDonalds saw some new things on the menu, and so when my co-workers asked our daily question of ,”Today, where we eat lunch ah?”, my answer came swiftly ,”McDonalds”. And so we walked to KL Sentral and ordered.

Double Chicken Deluxe Burger

Double Chicken Deluxe Burger

Onion Rings

The new Double Spicy McDeluxe Chicken burger rocks! Nothing extremely different, just two pieces of chicken instead of the usual one! Yum, filling. Me like. Then there was Onion Rings. Not to bad, but expensive. I rather eat the ones at Burger King. All in all, its nice to have new items to try.

I visited the dentist on Saturday as I was experiencing some pain at the lower left hand corner of my jaw. My lower right corner a little pain, but mostly food gets stuck there. And so Sara made an appointment for me at her dentist, the same one she got a braces from. We went there and I was a little nervous, and I never really liked dentist much. First they made me fill in forms, and then took a x-ray of my jaw. The doctor took photos of me and my mouth and teeth first, they showed them to me on the screen where the damage was and things like that. I needed filling on one of my back teeth, that was the cause of the main hurt. The x-rays also revealed that I needed to get my wisdow teeth removed. Both left and right, upper and lower. Argh. I also have this crooked teeth in the front of my mouth and my dentist asked if I wanted to get it straighten. I said yes, but without the use of braces. He took a mold of my teeth and then told me he will propose a solution and call me. And so he started work on scaling and polishing my teeth and then filling the cavity and boy it took a long while. There was so much blood from the scaling, as the last dentist I went to didn’t really do a good job, and there was rather allot of scales there, which leads to the bleeding gums I have. After about 1 hour, I was ready and with my teeth all cleaned. Stay tuned for more about extraction of wisdom teeth.
